Spotify, the Swedish music streaming app, has come forward one more time to make its My Library tab (better called Your Library these days) easier to navigate for users. The music streaming giant has proclaimed a new update for both iOS and Android devices.
The latest ‘My Library’ update brings a search option for items that listeners have previously added to their collection of beloved tracks. Spotify users now can also use new dynamic filters which will make it easy for them to single out playlists, artists, albums, podcasts, and shows.
Premium users can now prefer to view only downloaded content, which thus far, has been really hard to locate within Spotify my library without scrolling through each artist and album they have saved. The Swedish music streaming giant announced this brand new update in a blog post, where it mentioned that the changes are being rolled out to all smartphone users.
“Now, you’ll have a more streamlined way to easily explore your collection and find your saved music and podcasts faster,” Spotify stated about its ‘My Library’ feature in the blog post. “Your Library’s updated design and added features will enable you to spend less time looking for content and organizing your collection, and more time rediscovering the music and podcasts you’ve loved over the years.” the statement continues.
This Spotify My Library (or Your Library) update also provides its users more control and simpler access to what they listen to the most. Listeners can decide to pin four playlists, albums, or podcast shows that will show up at the top of their content. To do so, swipe right on whatsoever you want to keep at the top.
At last, we will talk about our most favorite feature – grid view content. Music streamers can finally view their content in a grid layout or in a list by the content’s alphabetical order, recently played, or the creators’ names. This view will also emphasize large tiles with an album, playlist, and podcast cover art.
We know the new changes aren’t lofty, but that downloaded content filter is definitely going to be useful, especially for those who used to waste way too much time trying to find something they have saved. Spotify last updated its My Library back in 2019 for just premium users. Techantor believes that this brand new update will make the browsing experience smoother for everyone!
